I am moving my school to a new location. The room is great, however it has a good bit of echo. I was wondering if anyone has good advice for ways to reduce echo in a training hall. I'd like to not ugly up the place, but the echo needs to go. So you got ideas? lets here em.

And if there already exists a great thread about this, a reference would be great.

TIA!

A buddy of mine built a folding screen out of plywood. He laminated that green foam they use for artificial plants onto the plywood panels then covered the panels with fabric. It absorbs a fantastical amount of sound. It's cheap, looks nice, and should work.

What you're looking for are acoustic baffles. Sounds like Instructor has a DIY version, but you can also buy that kind of thing.

Curtains work. So do eggboxes but they are ugly. Foam with holes drilled through it is good.

Anything cheap that comes second hand from a recording studio might help you.
