When I walk, I like to do the following 15 moves punching form:

1. right jab, left cross (linear).
2. right hook, left hook (horizontal).
3. right uppercut, left uppercut (vertical).
4. right hay-maker, right horizontal back fist (infinity symbol ∞).
5. left hay-maker, left horizontal back fist.
6. right overhand, right vertical back fist (forward circles).
7. left overhand, left vertical back fist.
8. right overhand (this complete the forward circle rotation).

In these 15 punches drill, I can polish 8 punching tools

1. jab,
2. cross,
3. hook,
4. uppercut,
5. hay-maker,
6. horizontal back fist,
7. overhand,
8. vertical back fist.

It also includes

1. linear,
2. horizontal,
3, vertical,
4. infinity symbol ∞,
5. forward circles.

I like the 3 dimensional feeling. It has logical connection such as punch 1 can set up punch 2. I also like this kind of training that has nothing to do with any particular MA "style". Any MA system can include this training.

What's your opinion on this short punching form?

This is probably true for any system's basic punches, with the exception of the back fist. The back fist is stylized in some systems. Here are the type of back fist I know. Vertical up & down, diagonally up & down, snapping back fist and heavy back fist, oh and spinning back fist. But the rest would be the basics and it's always good to train the basics

Sounds a lot like how I walk.

If I walked like that, someone would drop a net on me.
The way that I look at this is if you have to walk from point A to point B, why not also train your punches at the same time? If the punches (such as the circular punches) can help you to open your lung, you can even breath better.

Because it makes you look like a loony.

One day my teacher and I walked in the street of Taipei, Taiwan. My teacher was 74 at that time. He suddenly did a human flag by holding both of his hands on a street sight pole.

I assume only crazy people would train MA,

Like the 36 forms of Lien gong while on a strut.

I like the way you think.

That’s my jogging routine also. That or ration stick amaras. The thing that probably makes me look non threatening is that my dog is with me. 😜 The police around my home know I’m an Eskrido practitioner, so they’re cool.

Which is why I keep my walks in the neighborhood, being that I walk and train with my staff. I don't think I could just go out anywhere and do the same thing lol.
