I recently got my instructor to order me some tabi. He ordered 13's from a local company and they came back as 12's (though they claimed them to be 13's). I could not even get my foot in! In the past I've looked for some nice sized tabi, but every place I look seems to cut off around a 12. I did some searching on this forum and a few others, but have not found any sites that sell 13's. Can anyone help? I need a pair and another guy I train with wears 13's too, so I'll probably need more than just one.

Thanks!

I wish I could help you but this seems to be a
pretty common problem. Try googling tabi size
13 and above and see what you can come up
with. Also try custom tabi and you might find
something as well! Good luck.

Okay I looked and could not find any tabi to
fit size 13! One person I might contact would
be Andrew Young at his jikatabi webpage
over on www.kutaki.org ! He might be able
to steer you in the right direction. Other than
that you may want to try having the ones you
bought enlarged by a shoe seamstress! I have
had plenty of special work done by a local shoe
seamstess here in Alma and they always were
happy to help. Good luck!

I actually bought a pair of indoor tabi from them a while back ago. They were courteous and the shipping process was standard. The only problem was that the tabi were irregularly made due to a manufacturing problem however they let me know right up front about it and told me that if the tabi didn't work out for me, that I could send them back for a refund.

So that was a big plus in my book.

Finally size 13/14 Tabi. I am the only guy that has to train barefoot at my Dojo. That takes care of that problem. Thank You :asian:

Affirmative! Yes, when I first started I bought a pair from them. They were horrible. The split was to big, the shape was kind of funky and the fit was horrible. I had been warned by my instructor to not buy from them since he had problems with them before (I am assuming the tabis).

I usually have my instructor pick of a pair of indoor tabis while in Japan. I recently bought some Rikio Fighter Tabis (actually 2 pair). Unfortunately, I cannot find anyone selling 13s. However I will PM you an ebay seller who I purchased my Rikio Fighter Tabis from, send him a message and ask for the size you need. If they make it, I believe he can get it.

I will give them that. They were courteous and things went as normal. I believe they were up front about the irregulars, however, I paid a few dollars more to get the "normal" ones. However, they were still irregular (big time). I wore them for a while because the cost of them were not worth the effort to get my money back or replace them.
