Hey all,
This is my first post here. Sometime in the near future I am going to start taking muay thai. I have found 2 gyms in north AL and was wondering if anybody know anything about them. One is called Maverick Training Center, and the other is called Straightblast Gym of Alabama. Maverick is 85 dollars to take muay thai (instructor said it has a little more focus on boxing hands), and then 45 more if I want to take BJJ also. They are a little more family oriented I believe. Straightblase is 95 dollars for muay thai, bjj, takedowns, JKD, and a mma class(after 6 months of membership), and they have a more "gladiator" attitude from what I've been told, and they have a mma team. I am interested in fighting mma eventually. I can't decide which to take. I want my main thing to be MT, and it's taught twice a week at maverick and once a week at Straighblast. But I will also take bjj at straightblast. Anybody have any suggestions or know about either gym? I think I'll go to SB gym, because I can take everything, for 10 dollars more than taking just MT at maverick. Sorry for such a long post as my first post guys. I'd really appreciate it if anybody knew about them. I'm not sure if I can post links....but here they are http://www.mavericktraining.net/

Thanks a ton everybody,

BTW, I have no MA experience, and muay thai is the main thing I want to take, with BJJ later on, but at SB I'll go ahead and take both.
