Ya gotta admit it was a sucky thing for the employer to do. Funny from our end...but sucks for her. Get your employees to work harder with the promise of a "Toy Yodda" then give them a joke kick in the pants......

a happy place
A few years ago a local radio station promised people a trip to Miami to watch the Superbowl. They loaded up a bunch of "winners" and took them to Miami, Manitoba to watch the game on the big screen at a local bar.

Some were none too pleased :D

My question is if she wins the lawsuit does she get to keep the toy Yoda? I mean it's no car, but it's still pretty cool. You even get a light saber with it. What's all the fuss about?

But seriously, it is a pretty dirty "booby" prize

This doesn't always happen. My daughter has a sales job. Everytime her sales reached a certain number daily she got a ticket in a lottery. Well, she wasn't too excited about it although she had already won some small amounts before. But this was either for a car or cash of a lower amount. Two names were drawn and hers was second. She didn't even go to the drawing so they had to go get her. She had a choice between a car or the cash. The car required you go get a loan though, they made payments to you but you had to make them for the car, as long as you had the job. Since she was on probation for the job and a poor college student to boot she opted for the cash. Still, I think a really generous thing to do for the company. TW
