Hi everyone - just thought to let you know, there is a new German Website of the "World Nickelstick Eskrima Club" online...

Dedicated to the Art of GM Bacon, the Methods of GM Teofilo Velez / Jose Villasin and the Teachings of GM Nick Elizar!

Its not much but its a step further to promote the Art of Balintawak (and Arnis/Eskrima in general) to a broader Audience.

Check it out at:

www.balintawak-eskrima.de or www.nickelstick.de

Looking forward to any comments!
Thanks!

Yours,
Philipp "Mono" Wolf

Mono,

Thank you for sharing.

I am glad to see another site go up for the art of Balintawak.

I see that much of the site is in German. (* I know *.de is Germany *) Is it possible to have a mirror site in English? (* My German is very poor *)

Thanks

Dear Rich,

thanks for the Reply!

I have not planned a "Mirror Site" in english since an english Website for the Nickelstick Club is available already (www.nickelstickeskrima.com).

The Content of my Site is Based upon the Info found on that site - just translated into German...

To help you make some Connections:

This Site: http://www.balintawak-eskrima.de/index.html
as well as this one: http://www.balintawak-eskrima.de/Nick_Elizar/nick_elizar.html

Basically translate the Information found here:
http://www.nickelstickeskrima.com/history/index.htm

this Part:
http://www.balintawak-eskrima.de/Methodik/methodik.html

is a translation of this Article:
http://www.nickelstickeskrima.com/methodology/index.htm

The "Logo" Section translates into:
-The Carabao: is the national animal here in the philippines. Representing Life and Strength
-the three stars: represent the three region in the philippines. the luzon, visayas and mindanao.
-the scale is the symbol for justice and balance.
-the lightning is the symbol of speed.
-the stick: is the symbol of our single stick arnis fighting style
-the leaves is the symbol of honor and peace.
-the flag is the symbol of our national philippine flag, standing for pride and honor to the philippine people and culture

The Article found here:
http://www.balintawak-eskrima.de/Balintawak/balintawak.html

Is just some abstract I wrote myself with some Basic Info about Balintawak and some of the "Who is Who"... not worth bothering... nothing that cant be found on any other Balintawak Site!

And I am sure you wont need a Translation for the Videos, Curriculum or Contact list ;)

Hope this helps!

Yours,
Philipp "Mono" Wolf

Mono,

Thanks for the update. I found a link the site you referenced under Contact/Kontact so for those not able to read German, they should be able to go there to get what they need or want.

Thanks

Rich
