Hello everyone!

I am new to this forum and when I saw that there was a photography sub-forum I immediately became excited. Martial arts is a passion of mine but photography has been a close second. I have a variety of experience including: working for newspapers as an intern and freelancer, concert photographer, fine art photographer, and commercial and editorial photographer. Currently my biggest interest is in fashion and concert photography. Below is an example of my work. To view more of my work you can visit my blog: Damir Alisa Photography or my facebook page.

How do you like the 7D? My wife and I just picked one up, waiting on a second.

The 7D is amazing. Here is what I like about it:
Burst rate (great for sports)
Build quality (weather sealed)
Video capabilities
Decent ISO performance

There are rumors of a mark II. I am looking to invest into a 5D mark III and have the 7D be a back up/video body.

Link to my website (needs updating) for examples of my other work.

We almost picked up a 5D M2 but went with the 7D. Not ready to replace our EF-S glass yet. My wife's used the 7 on 2 shoots so far and loves it.

Love the shot with the moon.

I tried my friends 5D mk II and did not like it at all. The 9 points of autofocus and the shutter were terrible. It had amazing ISO performance but that is about it. The MK III on the other hand is out of this world.
What lenses do you use?

Main one right now is the EF-S 18-200IS, but it's been a little softer than usual. My wife's partial to her Canon EF 85mm 1.8, while I prefer the the EF 28-105 3.5-4.5 II USM. We're looking at a few different L lenses after we get the second 7D.
We rented the Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS for an airshow and loved the results, also rented the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L and Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L for a wedding and got great results. Just too $$$ for our budgets right now, lol.

How close to Biden were you? (Not very, I assume.)

I was a good distance from him. This was shot with a 70-200 2.8 IS lens. I did get fairly close to him afterwards. Great man and a wonderful speaker.

I have also worked with clothing companies based out of NY and Boston. I've featured on sites like Gizmodo and Buzzfeed. I have taken pictures of artist as big as Wiz Khalifa. I had several solo gallery openings. Photography is amazing and it allows me to meet the most wonderful people. I am looking forward to see what the next few years will bring.
