this thread is now EXTREMELY old, but I saw this as I was searching for another thread and decided to lurk through it.
SAVAGE, I am not a racist. I only labeled him as being "black" one time. tall, and black. that is what he was. those are the words I chose to describe him.
I did not know his name.
I don't remember any other features to describe him.
there are two types of racism.
1.when you single someone out because he is different.
2. when you DON'T single someone out because he is different.
I chose his skin color as a feature because it is a noticable feature, just as being tall is a noticeable feature.
deliberately avoiding the mention of someone's race simply because you fear the Taboo of saying it is just as bad.
