Mouthpiece question

Can anyone recommend any mouthpieces for martial artists with dental issues? Some of friends who are sparring have had dental work like caps and root canals and they wonder if they should
use special type of mouthpieces.

My dentist made me mine. $50 or so, I can do anything with it in, and it's fantastic that'd be the route I'd go. My same dentist was prepared to make my sister one while she had braces for Judo
