There was a sci-fi story some years back as to how aliens might react to that deep space probe (Pioneer?) that had pictures of naked humans on it with directions to Earth...... one option was a conclusion that we looked delicious and the whole lot of them headed to Earth for fine dining.... kind of an update of the Twilight Zone's "To Serve Man"...

LLOYDMINSTER, Alberta (Nov. 29) - Scientists said Friday they had found remains of the object that illuminated the sky before falling to earth in western Canada earlier this month. The giant fireball proved to be a meteor, as many had believed.
University of Calgary scientist Alan Hildebrand and graduate student Ellen Milley found several meteor fragments near the Battle River along the rural Alberta-Saskatchewan border, near the city of Lloydminster late Thursday.

Anyone remember the Twilight Zone (I think) episode where the Aliens that planted us here on the planet returned to check on our progress, the UN met to figure out how we could achieve world peace super quickly and then when the aliens actually landed they were pissed cause they put us here to become great interstellar warriors.

I was watching a news clip about some fragments that landed in a frozen pond being examined by a very excited young grad student. Apparently the owner of the property has legal claim to these and can make quite a tidy sum should he decide to sell.
