I've been developing a taste for Japanese horror movies, but this one was a little out there. It's directed by Takashi Shimzu, the filmmaker who brought us "The Grudge". Very creepy and stylish, but the ending was a bit vauge.

If you like Japanese horror movies, you'll probably enjoy it, but it's not a good one to introduce you to the genre.

Horror's crest was the 80's. Some of the current ones are good, but, just not the same.

American horror, perhaps, but Japanese (and Asian) is getting better. "Audition" (Takashi Miike, Japanese, 2002) was the creepiest and most haunting horror movie I have ever seen.

I agree with you, I'll have to look for that one.
