Investigators said Hobby confronted the couple in their front yard, grabbing the woman and restraining her while he attempted to take items from the house, including a flat-screen television. Officers said the homeowner got his gun out and shot Hobby in the leg. He was still on the floor when police arrived, investigators said.The man who shot Hobby told KCTV5 on Wednesday that is was a tough decision to shoot another man, but he said he couldn't stand to see his loved one being threatened. He said he realizes it's a decision a lot of other people in the situation wouldn't have made.
