What do the little flames in front of the title of threads mean? On table of contents page. just noticed them.

What do the little flames in front of the title of threads mean? On table of contents page. just noticed them.

They seem to indicate hot topics; very active threads. They started popping up recently, so I figure it's a feature of the Xenforo application. The owners don't always let us know when they add new features.
