Hi, the subject of the IKC 2003 came up on another thread, and I realised that there has not been a lot of chatter about it.

I emailed Doreen Cogliandro for any new information available in regards to it. And offered to post it here, she replied thanked me for my willingness to post the info but did not supply and additional information (ie if hotel booking was still available, etc...)

So I will post whatever information I can find. Some of this may be repeats from the other thread but I'm going to try to put it all together.

Hope this information is of some help.

I am hoping to go, for the seminars and to watch the tournament, if I can get the funds together. I think this is a very important event to attend, as it's part of Kenpo History.

Who else has made plans to go?

A lot of the students have expressed an interest, so we are having an open meeting later this month to try and plan a bus trip down!
I know myself and a few others are going for sure though!
Should be a lot of fun.
I know we also have a ton of flyers at he school too, Mrs. Cogliandro has put togehter an amazing package!

Roland, let me know when that meeting is, or at least the results of the meeting. I am seriously interested in going.

Think I could drop by and pick up some of those flyers, if you have some to spare?

Thanks.

Hi Folks!
Here's a email that I got from Doreen Cogliandro:
Subj: Boston IKC
Date: Sat, 4 Jan 2003 11:34:01 AM Eastern Standard Time
From: RKA344
Happy New Year!
2003 Has arrived and before you know it, so will be the Internationals. The
Revere Karate Academy is working very hard to make this an exceptional event,
one for everyone to remember for years to come. If you haven't made your
hotel reservations, you may want to start thinking about that now. The Four
Points Sheraton has sold out and the Hampton is just about full. The Marriott
has plenty of rooms left and we are working on additional accomodations if
necessary. The mailing for the tournament will be out with in the next 2-3
weeks.
Please email us your address if you haven't already, also if you know of
anyone else who would like information for the tournament please include that
as well.
I am looking forward to seeing you all in July!
Lots of Love
Doreen

Hope that helps out a little bit!!
BEGOOD,
KENPOJOE

That's just what I was hopping to be able to post. Sounds like plans need to be made soon, if people are intending to go.

Will you be there Joe?

Thanks for adding that info.

Hi Folks!
Here's the latest update on the IKC

"Hi Everyone
Just a quick hello from Boston. You may have seen from must last email how stressed I am because I could even spell Boston correctly. This will be a good time to make your hotel reservations. The four points sheraton is sold out, but there are still rooms at the Hampton and Marriott. We have also added the Comfort Inn as well. If you need any help with the reservations, please contact me. Please mention the Boston IKC's for your discount. I also want to remind everyone to that early registration will give you the best savings for the event!
Doreen"

Fellow Kenpoists,

I know a bunch of us from Pittsburgh have booked a hotel room and are planning on attending the IKC 2003 in Boston!

I think it is going to be an awesome event and I can not wait to go. I hope everyone thinks about attending. It would be nice to actually meet all of those that share their thoughts and views online!

In anycase, I wish everyone the best! Good journey!

Respectfully,
Joshua Ryer

Is anyone from NJ going up for the IKC?

I have a friend who lives in Mass. but I'm not sure how far from Rever he is. He's been bugging me to come up and visit for awhile. I think this a pretty good excuse to take him up on his offer.

Thanks, Deep salute :asian:
Kevin

Hope to see some of you there....:D
