I've read most of Simon R Green's books. In many of them he mentions Jaffa Cakes. Being American, and the Jaffa Cakes not really being important in any of the stories, I just kind of ignored it. Last week, I was rereading one of his books and for some reason I wondered WTF is a Jaffa Cake enough to make me put down my Kindle and google.
I ordered some from Amazon, they will be here Monday.
Clearly, this is the fault of all British people ever. :p

On a cooking show that my daughter watches I learned today of syllabub and financiers because it was British-themed.

Ooo you've made a terrible error. I swear there's something highly addictive in the orangey bit. You'll be a slave to the Jaffa evermore.
