After a childhood accident left his arm weakened his parents first had him take violin lessons, he was very good but the First World War finished his musical aspirations. To further strengthen his arm he took up boxing, his father though stopped him fighting in public.

To me, one of the most iconic photos ever. But then, I was, am and always will be, a lifelong Three Stooges fan.

Larry actually had one professional fight, which he won. Then his father put a stop to that right quick.

I've been researching because I have that same question. I think it is based on some of his younger pictures.

Picture below was said to have been taken in 1919. Shemp is on the left. Shemp looks like a thug lol. He would make a good 1919 Punisher.

The thing that always sticks in my mind is Moe, Curly and Shemp were brothers. Think there was any tomfoolery in that house growing up?
