I want to take up Kempo

First off, welcome to the forum!!

As for your question...as it was already said, California is loaded with Kenpo schools. I suggest taking a look at some schools in your area. Watch a class, or take a trial lesson. Ask lots of questions and see what suits your needs best. Once you've done this, narrow the list down to which one you like the best.
