New to ghost..can you edit the existing images? Adding/modifying them? I want to upgrade IE6 to IE7...(& a few other changes)
OR Do I need to create entirely new images??

As far as I recall (it's been a few years since I used it) the images weren't editable.

ghostexplorer indeed ; but options are limited...
Making a fresh image seems the better way :)

Just started with AYghost wich seems very promising ( one host that can clone to a large number of clients via the network )

Pretty much what I found out....I'm now creating new images for specific levels: basic pc with all the generic s/w
next level: for each division; having their own certain s/w
then another level that is a combination for the exec world....

Funny how the exec world seems to like all the bells & wistles even though through discussion most don't even know what the stuff is for.....It almost seems like: "he has it therefore I need it"....kids will be kids....
peace...

Ghost - what software? Symantec

If so the only way to edit is to ghost a PC with the orginal image and update that PC to IE7 and then make a new image.

Maybe nice to share ; if it's just for updates ( like the IE6 > 7 situation mentioned before ) then it might be handy to have just the updates seperate from the image itself.

There is a program called c't update that can make stand-alone discs that can update windows ( and some office version too ) to a certain point without all the reboots and even without the need to have a machine connected to the net.
More info on that : see the website
