This is significantly less expensive than anywhere else I have seen, like EOS Panther, etc.

I took a chance and ordered one with a jpeg attachment of the embroidery I wanted.
I'll keep you posted how it turns out. Says 4-8 business days.

Are there any styles that discourage embroidery on your belt or gi? :readrules:

Its not discouraged but I don't do it. Personal preference but if I can't read it I don't want it.

I can read a decent amount, but I was just never in to embroidery to begin with. Granted, I'm not a black belt, but that sort of thing has never appealed to me.

I remember my first MA teacher saying "....and when you'll earn your black belt, you'll receive a belt like xxxx has, with your name embroidered on it!" I smiled and nodded but internally, I was thinking....do I have to? Really? What's wrong with plain black?

It doesn't matter to me what other folks do, but I was never one for frills or decorations myself. I like things simple and clean

There was another reason for the embroidery that I didn't realize until later. When I was watching one of the kids classes from the peanut gallery. My instructor was emphasizing the kids that they can always turn to an adult BB for help at the school, and said that even if you forgot their names, they are all written on their belts. So...while its still not really my thing, if having my last name on my belt would help encourage a young student to say "Hey Ms. G, could you give me a hand," then I would wear that in a heartbeat

What's the difference between an engineer and a scientist?

Put an engineer and a scientist in a room with a hot girl on the other side.
The two alternate moving half way to the girl. Whoever gets there first gets her.
The scientist realizes this will result in an ever decreasing move each turn without ever actually reaching the girl and gives up.
