From what I understand, most charities could use $$ donations most - so water and supplies can be purchased/shipped overseas, or bought there, on-site. So selling old supplies, clothes, etc., and sending the proceeds overseas might work - I know it can be very hard to just raise money instantly, or pull out checks and start writing! I tried to look into volunteering on one of the sites, but basically they need trained medical personnel, and other people already specializing in this kind of aid, so money is really best.

Most sites have credit-card donation forms, which are the fastest, I think.
