training your children

At what age do think it is right to introduce them to it?
How do you/would you go about training them? Introducing it as playing or put them on three half coconuts and start hitting their feets to have them move around? lol
How strickt should the training be at young age?
I`m not really looking for answers for how a trainer at a club conducts their "mini-dragon ninjakids training sesions" more how other fathers (or mothers) go about it in their homes.
Also if anybody where trained by family members themselves as kids it would be cool to hear your views on the topic.
