Does anyone enjoy practising "that tip tap ****"?

I watched the movie kickboxer in the early 90's and always remembered the line "you don't win fights with that tip tap sh_t!". See 6:15 into the video below.

Nonetheless, I like practising it for the balance. Anyone else?

I remember that line too! And I think a tkd (which I hold high rank in) is dramatically underestimated.ANY light blow from ANY art is a "tip tap". But if you catch a finger jab in your eye? A tip tap and it's over.Lol.A high powered high speed 4 kick combo will change any doubter's mind--after you wake up and get out of that cast--for the better.

Well.... tip tap for me is for show, doing tip tap reflexes good ballance, for example lifthing the leg and keep it will doing several tip taps doing a semicircle or full circle with the base foot.

However for serius things like self defense or full contact sparring the kicks must be direct and at full speed and power to try to knock down the other guy/guys.
