Kyokushin vs K1

Never knew this event existed until just now.
It used to be a Kyokushin sponsored event to encourage Kyokushin practitioners to fight under kickboxing rules, but I think in 2004(?) it became a K1 sponsored event where half the fights would be Kyokushin rules, and the other half K1 rules, and all teh fights would pit Kyokushin fighters up against various K1 fighters. Really loved some of the fights.
This is a kind of a hype of for it - pretty good to watch even if you don't speak japanese
Under k1 Rules:
Glaube Feitosa VS Alistair Overeem
Alexander PitchKounov vs Seth Petruzelli (It lists him as BJJ on the title, but why would a BJJ guy enter K1? apparently he's either Karate or Kickboxing....)
Under Kyokushin Rules:
Lechi Kurbanov vs Big Fam (Very good watch)
I hope this kind of thing comes more widespread. I myself as a Kyokushin practitioner feel that it leaves a pretty big hole in your defense when you don't train headpunches in sparing. You know the technique to do it and to defend it, but your reflexes aren't getting trained for it. But yeah, really reccomend watching these, and I hope to see some Kyokushin fighters in K1 soon ^_^
