Astrologer wins libel lawsuit

A prominent Israeli politician was recently convicted of libel when he accused an astrologer of being a fraud on live television. This happened nine years ago, when they were both guests on a talk show and the politician was a journalist at the time. Other panel members were academics. As the astrologer began to give the weekly forecast, the politician expressed his anger that a fraud gets a seat with academics. The astrologer later asked for an apology and when none was given, pressed charges.

I consider myself a critical thinker, and astrology makes no sense to me. Astrology hasn't been proved as science, so I personally see nothing wrong with calling a person who claims to predict the future according to the movement of celestial bodies a fraud.

What are your thoughts?

It depends on what he was accused of being fraudulant about: that he was an astrologer, that astrology doesn't give accurate predictions or that his predictions were fraudulant.

Hello, Is there a God? How do you prove something like that against science?

Same for the Astrology? How about " KI and Chi" ? Is it real?.. ..to science?

How come when we know/believe it will happen and it does? ...can science prove this?

I don't know much about Ki and Chi, so I won't comment on that either.

Astrology has to prove itself through the scientific method. Science doesn't have to prove anything.
