What does your Black Belt

It's heartening to see most of us agree on this issue. A black belt was a very big deal to me until I realized that it meant I now had enough knowledge to really begin my serious training. I wrote a haiku as I approached my test that I have up in my office:

climbing my mountain
peering over the summit
another mountain

It gives me comfort to know there is so much more to learn ... it's also a kick in the pants because now I have an idea of the volume of knowledge left to learn.

As said before, the physical belt itself is similar to my favorite hat or my favorite jeans...when I wear it, it is comfortable.

The process of earning the belt, however, was a different story...one that has been told several times here before, so I won't go into it again.
