Wanna know a secret? All the reaction buttons are exactly the same. The system tracks the number of reactions you cause, but there's no difference between reactions.
I really like how it used to be set up, before the forum update last year. I think disagree was just a red x, which was much more fitting, and there were useful and informative ratings as well. That ominous red "thumb down" looks SO negative. It looks too much like a "dislike," so I have used it only for extreme cases. But disagreeing is not the same as not liking. Perhaps reworking the emoji or adding a couple more choices will allow us to more exactly express our reactions.

Either one of those could be my face.I’d like a “confused” reaction.

Is a dead horse ever really sufficiently flogged? In many (most?) cases, clicking "disagree" and not posting a reply can be interpreted as "I disagree with this, but not strongly enough to argue" or "I disagree, but that dead horse has been flogged enough".
Not if you want a successful discussion forum. Just the opposite. Dead horses should be beaten with enthusiasm and vigor. Is a dead horse ever really sufficiently flogged?
Not on MT. MT pretty much rents dead horses. lol.Is a dead horse ever really sufficiently flogged?
