Please help: History of Jujutsu, articles anyone?

I'm looking, high and low, for a good.... thorough..... article or paper on this history of Jujutsu.
Suggetions........please?

Hmm... well, I would suggest the book Secrets of the Samurai. While the book encompasses much more than jujitsu, I believe it does cover it from a historical perspective. It's been a few years since I have read it so I could be mistaken, but would be worth checking it out. It's a fairly weighty volume.

I own "Secrets of the Samurai", it IS a good book.
I was just looking for an article for a friend (that I could e-mail a link for) to read and get a good synopsis of the generally accepted history of Jujutsu.

Some background information: Meik Skoss spent 27 years in Japan learning various forms of gendai and koryu budo and is very knowledgable.

Stephen Fabian is a high ranking teacher of Hontai Yoshin-ryu jujutsu and trained under the headmaster of Hontai Yoshin-ryu, Inoue Tsuyoshi for a considerable amount of time.

Wayne Muramoto is the Hawaii branch instructor for Bitchu-den Takenouchi-ryu and is also highly ranked in Seitei iai, Muso Jikiden Eishin-ryu and Shinto Muso-ryu jo.
