I've made a few posts, but haven't properly introduced myself.

I was out mowing the lawn several weeks back when a fellow named Kyu introduced himself and offered some free tae kwon-do lessons at the nearby martial arts academy.

I wavered, knowing how much one of my buds is spending on kung fu lessons per month and thinking of my mortgage. But I said 'sure'.

I was pretty much immediately impressed by how people were relating to one another, the general atmosphere, and the way the instructors presented themselves.

And I surprised myself by really getting into it right away.

I've been at it almost every day for a little over a week now (with a yoga class yesterday to screw me back closer to normal in a few places). I've even been teaching myself a little Korean out of random interest (all Korean staff).

I'm Buddhist and kinda leggy, so the way they approach things is already agreeable to me in a few ways.

Not really going anywhere with this ramble. I'm just into it.

Thanks, all. What a friendly lot!

Now time for zazen practice. :D
