There's a meme distinguishing between bees and wasps. In a nutshell, bees pollinate flowers and trees, allowing them to produce fruit. Bees create honey, and are reluctant to sting because they can only do so one time. Bees are good for the environment.

Wasps are a-holes.
I agree entirely with that sentiment.

That meme you speak of is my favorite meme of all time.

watching a good friend testing for 2nd Dan tomorrow at 3 pm -
had to advise her not to do the morning class AND the test..
been there, done that - hoping she saves her energy for the test!

Best of luck to her. And I second your recommendation. It's a bad idea.
I've actually told students "No, you cannot participate in this class" when they're testing in the one following.
It doesn't always work out, but I prefer to do our Chodanbo and Dan tests on Saturday. There's only one class and it's 90 minutes long. Avoids the problem, and leaves more time for the test.

My son's org. tests in the morning and then they have seminars after lunch.

Works real well. Two black belt tests per year (Summer and Winter)

Well, thankfully - she took my advice and did great
on her test!! She was well prepared, but I know her
and - much like myself - if she participates in a class,
she gives her all and I wanted her to be fresh for
the test!

We do BB testing 3 times a year and just do one open rank
class in the morning - leaves ample time for testing

Side note - I got to call the entire first test today and
mentioned to my Instructor I felt pretty good about
not having to pause as much as I used to.. He said
he couldn't think of anything I missed or he would
have changed and said I was spot on!! :)

It just occurred to me. after getting April fools day pranked three times today I learned something. Being on the wrong side of a prank is not as fun as being on the prankster side of it... o_O

Just finished arranging a promo video for a tournament this summer.

Pretty pleased with the end result.
