Kancamagus was the third (and final) Sagamon (chief) of the Penacook tribe. His name means "The Fearless One", and he was said to be a very brave warrior in battle. The highest (non-seasonal) roadway in New Hampshire bears his name, with much of the road going through the White Mountain National Forest. I took these photos on the Kancamagus Highway, in an unusual, but not unheard of, mid-April snowstorm.
This was taken at a unplowed vista near the Kancamagus Pass, the highest spot on the roadway. The snow was almost up to my knees!

Naturally I had to get a cascade in the mix, too

Behind this section of trees are several mountains...mountains obscured by the snow, fog, and clouds.
