Psalm 27:14 KJV ~ "Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord."
"Waiting on God is not passivity; it is active patience that looks to God in hope, and trusts Him to resolve circumstances that you have no control over. Sometimes we feel a strong need to fix things and do something about our circumstances even when the situation is outside of our immediate control. Instead of rushing in and taking steps that are counterproductive and unhelpful, the best course of action is to take it to the Lord. Wait on Him to provide direction, and work in situations that only He has the power to change. Waiting on the LORD isn't passive behavior, because that kind of patience is active in prayer meditating on God's word, and trusting God to work in situations beyond our control and the hearts of other people. While we have a responsibility to do those things God has given us control over, it's far better to wait on the Lord when we have no control, and only God can change the situation or human hearts." ~ Pastor H.
