What is the Normal Amount of Time to Do Your Main Form In?

Fast, and shortened forms, aside.

20 minutes is considered the proper amount of time to do the 108 sequence in Wu( Wu Gongyi) style.

Many years ago I took a CMC style Yang, but the teacher chopped the form up into 6 bits, some(all?)of which were mirror image, I think. No one did them all at once…. Would’ve been odd. I think they would’ve taken over an hour is someone did them all.

Just idle curiousity on my part.

Adults usually take between 12 and 20 breaths per minute. If we take the slow speed of 12 breaths per minute, that's 12 inhales and 12 exhales.

If you coordinate your body movement with your breath (either inhale, or exhale), 108 moves Taiji form may take you 108/24 = 4.5 minutes.
