I know when it comes to HD's people are real picky and some have had good and bad experiences with certain manufacturers. Would you pass on thsi deal? I have heard some people say that when you get a drive this large NEVER put your OS on it, instead use it just for storage and back up only.
Your thoughts?

Also I read a review where one person could only format 698 out of the 750. Does that even sound correct to you? Losing 52GB's of storage to formatting seems pretty high. I know it is still a lot of space left but still 52GB's lost in formatting seems way too high.

Depends on if the listed space is formatted or not. Seems a high loss to me, but I'm out of date on drive info.

Still, that much for a WD drive....I'd grab a couple myself if I had the spare cash for a backup drive and data drive.
