Veteran's Care

I'd rather die than let any of those buttholes ever touch me again. I have a long list of horor stories about the VA in DC and the one in VT. I still have shrapnel in three places in my body and have decided to leave it there or pay out of my own pocket if it comes to that. The last time I darkened the doors of a VA was '82 and it will never happen again.

I went to the VA once, never again. V.A. hospitals give veterans a second chance to die for there country!

Marvin this is sad but true.

Yes, the VA here in Roanoke Va doesn't have a very good reputation either. I had a broken hand that needed surgery when I left the service. I went to the VA and was told it would be a couple days before I could even be put into their system and a couple of months before I could do surgery. This is the same VA hospital where the bodies of several veterans had been found on the grounds, dead of exposure after wandering away from their ward. I haven't been back and won't go back if I have my way about it.

VA care is horrendous. No doubt. The wait in Boise for new patients has been consistently around 12 months. The resources arenÂ’t there and the staff is overworked. I hope this change is a step to better serve the vets.
