Travelers to Old Mexico questions?

I say Old Mexico because some people actually get my state confused with Mexico. Go figure? But I am trying to decide between a tour of the Copper Canyon or one of The Ancient landmarks i.e Chichen Itza, Palenque, UXMAl, etc. Anybody have preferences in areas that they have visited or have lived at in Mexico?

Tough choice.

Personally, I'd opt for one of the ancient sites, especially Palenque, its very cool. If you have any interest in Mayan culture at all it is a great place to visit. (personal preference based on subjects studied at university)

Either way, you should enjoy Mexico.

PS: Are you considering Teotihuacan? Its not that far from Mexico City. It will make you rethink your place in the world.

Yeah actually the tour is guided and it includes that on the iternerary. Thanks for the input.
