trapping in jkd

hello everybody i'm fairly new here so if this is a replica of another thread i'm sorry. i've heard that so jkd'ers do not practice trapping as in the WC way. i trapp on the wooded dummy and i believe that it will only help my training and make me a better all around MA. what do you think? oppinions against or for it
