To avoid just such a mix up, I'm a big fan of "weapons maintenance night" anytime someone wants to pick up any daughter I might have for a date. (I'm perfectly willing to visit my brother and instruct him on weapons maintenance any time my niece has a date...)

Of course, this might work too...
