I guess if you're willing to LOSE that much money on a single bet then sometimes the pay off can be very rewarding...

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Lightning has struck twice at the Tropicana Casino and Resort, which has lost more than $11 million to just two high-stakes gamblers since April.
Just weeks after a blackjack player beat the casino for $5.8 million, a different gambler won $5.3 million last week.

I like playing Texas Hold 'Em and have done fairly well in a couple of tournaments (cash prize $500 bucks) and ended up ranking 13th out of 200 players in my best tournament. But laying out hundreds of thousands of dollars on a bet... whoo... don't think I'll ever be THAT ballsy... even if I DID have the money burning a hole in my pocket. That is just... too much to lose on just one gamble.
Must be nice to be able to do that.

But one of the gamblers was really nice...
The man left a $150,000 tip for dealers when he was done raking the casino; it was divided up among table games dealers on duty that night.
Wanna bet there's probably a dealer who's kicking their own *** for taking that night off...or worse... traded shifts with another dealer. :lol2:
