String theory is either way ahead of its time or a gigantic pipe dream. I would like to think that the universe is that elegant, but I really do have a problem with an explanation that is inheritly untestable. Perhaps someday we'll be able to test things in Planck Lengths, but until then, I would say that string theory is more philosophy then science.
