Which ones best get at the heart of the style?(not sure if that's exactly the same question as the one in the thread title)

Hmmm... I've always heard Sap Ji Ka Da Kuen is the "mother" set... but I think that's for other reasons... ;)

What I've heard of late is...

Ng Lun Ma & Ng Lun Choi are the legs...
Sap Ji Kau Da Kuen & Ping Kuen are the heart & lungs...
Bak Mo Kuen is the brain...

The trick is not all branches have all of those set. I've heard that Buk Sing only has a few sets. The Futsan Hung Sing has a few more but the Chan branch has all of them.

Choy Lay Fut is definately an awesome system.

Do you happen to know of any kwoon for the Chan branch in the Midwest area?
