User hit a sequence of keys (I assume I've never seen this before) that "locked up" the keyboard. The keys would not work in any format: word, excel, etc.. I had this fixed by unplugging the kybd then plugging it back in...BUt...has anyone experienced this before and is there a ctrl/alt X that unlocks it????

I think it's more likely they kocked the connection loose.

As far as I know there is no sequence of keys to do this, and if there was it would be software based, not hardware. In which case unplugging it and plugging it back in would have no effect unless you rebooted.

This is a Bloomberg setup.....I was able to reach them and their response for the older keybd the user has was the same......Turns out the user keeps his desk access doors open.....SO most likely you're right....he hit the wires....Thanks !!!
