I just wanted to share how proud I am of my student Rhonda Leslie, she has been training with me since last Oct and is completely blind. Rhonda competed yesterday at the Power Nationals here in London Ont and took 3rd place in Novice forms, doing Long 1. She also competed in 35 and older weapons but didn't place, keep in mind it was all belts brown on down. I taught her a basic staff form using short 1 pattern and just added some moves. I was judging in the Black Belt division so I didn't get a chance to see all of it but she sure drew a crowd. Thank you for letting me share.
