Kempo differences

It looks like I may not be able to practice Judo for a few months. As of now, there is no club at the university I am currently studying at. So I'm looking at the kempo clubs as an alternative. They offer two different types: Nihon Kempo and shorinjin Kempo. Since I know nothing about the systems, could someone tell me a little bit about each one?

I have no idea what Nihon Kempo is, but Shorinji Kempo is a very good system. I have a friend back home who is runs a Shorinji school, and he is quite good. Go have a look at it, and see if you like it.
