Just got done watching Black August on hbo

the movie is about a black panther / black guerilla family prison gang member in san quentin that wrote a book called the soledad brothers

well theres a scene in the were hes in rage in his cell and hes doing upper blocks , chops , sukis etc etc

wondering if anyone knows anything of his martial arts background ?
