Oh poot! No Palin in the mix :(. That's going to make things duller. Or is this just a tactic for a surprise comeback, pantomine villain style, from stage left?

Can one of our resident Republicophiles tell us for definite what the 'approval' numbers are like for the various candidates in the race for a Republican representative in the upcoming presidential election?

I have no clue, but then again, I am not a Republican. However, being a conservative and generally turned off by the Democratic Party, I generally end up voting Republican. Didn't vote for GW Bush, though. Did vote for McCain.

This time around, I have yet to see a single candidate I like, left or right. Lunatics, stupid, or so clearly pandering to populist outrage that I can barely keep myself from puking my guts up.

I was disappointed that Tim Pawlenty dropped out. I thought he might have represented sanity and a conservative voice. The problem, of course, is that he is both sane and conservative; the GOP is not fond of either of those right now. I would have liked to have heard more from Mitch Daniels. Sorry he declined to run; from what I heard, he was and is also sane.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do, but it's a long way to November. Lots of things will change, that much is a given. Polls and so on don't mean much to me at this time; I refuse to get excited about any of it until we're much closer to election time.
