We are looking at inundation in places of up to 6-8 feet. My family is safe. We are up in the mountains. About half the island's population is evacuating right now, though.

I don't think it's doing that much damage. From the reports that I'm hearing, it doesn't seem to be pushing that far inland. We aren't out of the woods. We'll see if any larger ways come in this train.

I actually have a good perch from up on the mountain from where I live. The sea is about two miles away. I've watched the sea draw back and come in already! Not too bad for an ex-Minnesota boy!
