Pekiti-Tirsia goes Discovery/History channel

2006-2007 is the year of Pekiti-Tirsia, a year where the exposition of the indigenous original fighting art of the Philippines known as kali is open to the world to see the Ceremonial Initiation and the Combative Initiation documented in its ancestral profile on the top of the mountain region of Rizal, Province of Luzon.
The team of Production staff came to the filming site impressed by the scenery, the prepared training depot and the top mountain view mainly depecting the city of Manila on deep dark moonlight night.The silent night witnessed by the sound of crickets and mosquito bites made the team of Pekiti-Tirsia Pitbulls rocked in small tent good for one person waiting the lights to go off.The day is right for the start.
The training ordeal was started by round hard hitting lead pipes against the discarded tires hang around the body of the trees. Waiting to be castigated, the trainee started to orient holding the solid steel pipe supervised by Mandala Rommel Tortal, a Marine Officer hardened by the Force Recon Marines discipline had pushed the trainee continously initiated to continue without the sign of stopping.
Pass on to another set of training, the trainee sustained the curse of the discipline proving himself that in war and in peace the experience of this magnitude is a part of his manhood undesturbed by the bleeding hands and hardened muscles, the show must go on.
Comes the DD where all the training must be tested,the physical test has come to reality. The trainee and othe Pekiti-tirsia Interns joined the initiation climbing commandos style walking upside down hanging on a long extended survival rope made the afternoon crucial for the darkness was about to close, unexpected 150 kilo python snake has to be carried by the trainee to feel that fear is not all against the klillers but against the man eating phython snake.The two wild piglets ready to be chased by the trainee and must be held by his hands as a fresh baby from the cradle, a slippery piglet runs wild inside the fences chasing all over diving on the mad with colored water , a sight so enjoyable that laughter cannot be avoided. The added fast biting lizard must be released for the trainee to chased and catch unfortunately the lizard was not big enough and so small that after it was released this scared lizard looks at the trainee like a food to be eaten by the Komodo lizard. Last and the final attack Pibull was released to kill the trainee fortunately the protection was good enough to protect and the initiation ends with wild times.
But the exciting event waits at the cementary where the fight has to happened between the Marines against two American trainee, a final test to prove that training in Pekiti=Tirsia as the indigenous art vs the Urban training as an open education jumping from a market place to open parks.
The D-Day was ready and the Director was on the set and the busy camera men mounted their expensive cameras on top the pile of cemented cases for dead people for many century.Suspected that the famous Philippine National Hero was buried. Paco cementary is combination of cementary and a chapel. Dead are blessed the Living are the blessers.
Discovery channel staff now is excited to see the Force Recon Marines fights on a knife to knife combat against the newly trained but veteran martial artist in different discipline. Clashes lasted in minutes and wihout knowing what happened the painted throat slash by the fast sweeping knife cut the neck of the trainee and for two fights , the Marines won against the knife to knife combat, the stick to stick challenge was more of break even and the empty hands was won by the trainee as a boxer but the total score the marines own.
