Well, it's probably better to over-explain and be too detailed than to be unclear and encourage mistakes. For myself, a concept-based explanation works better. Here the idea is basically combining moving in and out with side-stepping. That can result in a V, N, or W pattern, etc. depending on how far you take it. Of course I'm speaking in generalities, since I'm not a Pekiti stylist (although one of my instructors had Pekiti experience). Still, I enjoy seeing this kind of stuff being posted.
