Okay, now they aren't the most beautiful birds and their reputations don't help much either. But this lady obviously loves them enough to work with them and want to fly with them.

Surprising on how many breeding pairs there are left in the wild. 2900 + - and while their feeding habits may be a gross out they are an important part of an ecosystem as carrion eaters. Getting rid of carcasses so that diseases don't spread.

Of course part of me watching the video was thinking all those vultures soaring around her (and the "pilot") were hoping the chute would fail so they'd have an easy (FRESH) meal... another (worse) part of me recalled the Vultures from the cartoon Jungle Book...
first vulture : "whaddya wanna do?"
second vulture: "I dunno, whaddya wanna do?"
first vulture: "now don't start that ag---"
third vulture (interrupting): "I've got it! Lets slash at that parasail with our talons and have lunch eh?"
first vulture: (nodding vigorously) "right mate! Lets go!"

ok a morbid sense of humor to a noble cause... :idunno: I'm weird that way
