I think book reviews on martial arts topics is a bad idea.
Like when people ask if a school is good. As individuals we all like different training and different ideas

I have often found that books I like are not necessarily books my Sifu likes.

I have an affinity for Randy Williams books. Although his wing chun stuff is vastly different to what I do, he explains things well

Yet, I am sure there are those who don't like his books, and we wouldn't both be 'right'.

Therefore maybe we should keep the review farely factual. ie more about the authors background, what the book contains, rather than opinions

so yeah its a list of good reading/watching i,m looking for. wether its what and how i do it is almost irrelevant...

Matsu,

You are learning under the Ip Chun lineage right? I am learning under Sifu Tom Ross which is under the Ip Ching lineage. I would recommend the following...

Anything from my Si-Gung Master Sam Chan www.chanskungfu.com... Master Chan studied under both Ip Chun and Ip Ching... Along with the book from Sam Kwok http://www.massmartialarts.com/MasteringWC.html who also studied under Ip Chun and Ip Ching.

I hope this helps....

Have a look at the 6 vol. book set of Randy Williams, if it is still out there.
